The transfer cart is the heart of the automated pouring and cooling section, functioning as a shuttle for moving pouring plates and assembled molds between conveyor systems. The cart dimensions are selected based on the size of the bolster plate from the standard model range or can be custom-made.
With transfer carts, full automation of mold positioning for pouring and holding is achieved, followed by transfer to the shakeout section and return of bolster plates. This eliminates the need for lifting equipment, improves the rhythm of operations, and enhances working conditions for personnel.
The combined use of a hydraulic pusher and driven roller conveyors allows integration of driven sections at the molding and shakeout areas with non-driven pouring and holding conveyors, and enables loading and unloading onto the cart from both sides.
Using a hydraulic cylinder pusher allows non-driven conveyors to be used for pouring and holding, significantly simplifying conveyor design, reducing the risk of breakdowns, and minimizing downtime and costly repairs associated with spillage or molten metal contact.
Description:
The transfer cart with hydraulic pusher, model TG, consists of a cart body, a cart drive system, a hydraulic pusher, driven roller conveyors, and a built-in hydraulic power unit. Non-contact limit switches are used for positioning molds and the cart. The control system of the transfer cart is integrated into the pouring line control system, ensuring synchronized operation and centralized control of the entire line.
Advantages:
Reliable operation
Combination of hydraulic pusher and roller drive
Loading/unloading from both sides
Built-in hydraulic power unit
