Pouring conveyor, model ZK

Pouring conveyor, model ZK, is used in foundry production to automate the pouring and holding of molds. The conveyor design is intended for use with pouring plates and hydraulic pushers.

The absence of a drive on the conveyor, its simple construction, and ease of maintenance make this type of conveyor suitable for harsh conditions during pouring operations. Even in the event of direct contact with molten metal, the risk of complete failure is minimal.

The conveyors can be custom-built according to customer requirements or supplied from a standard production range.

About the product

Pouring conveyors form the foundation for automating the mold pouring and cooling section. They enable automation of:

  • Positioning molds for pouring

  • Organizing mold cooling branches

  • Feeding molds to the shakeout conveyor

  • Returning pouring plates to the molding and assembly section

The use of pouring conveyors in combination with pouring plates, transfer mechanisms, and hydraulic pushers allows automation of pouring, mold holding, and shakeout operations without the need for in-shop lifting equipment.

Description:
The pouring conveyor consists of closely spaced rollers mounted on a rigid frame. The roller system forms two movable lines, allowing pouring plates to move with minimal resistance. Load movement of the pouring plates is powered by hydraulic pushers.

Advantages:

  • Reliable operation

  • Easy maintenance

  • Aesthetic design

  • Compact dimensions

  • Floor-level installation, no pits required

  • Minimal foundation requirements
